The drama ‘Wonkyung’ centers around Lee Bang-won (played by Lee Hyun-wook), who, after ascending to the throne, constantly tries to strengthen his royal authority by keeping his wife and family in check, and Wonkyung (played by Cha Joo-young) who tries to protect the crown prince and her family from her husband’s checks. It is a work that unravels the breathtaking battle of wits between them to survive in the new Joseon era, set in a way that fits the early Joseon era.
